When we do some activity, social or work, we usually hope for some reward from someone to understand that we have done that activity well. This expectation is wrong, and we should not have it because we will think we have done something wrong if we don't have a reward.
Of course, the gratitude we feel when we get a trophy is good, but we should not depend on this desire. We are aware of how good we are at something. It is enough to feel good about ourselves and be conscious that we have done an excellent job or overcome any difficulty egregiously.
Afterward, if we have been good at something, sooner or later, we will get a reward.
